When I found out my niece liked dinosaurs, I ASKED my sister if she would like me to bring by dinosaur costume. When she had a Harry Potter birthday and I had bald caps to spare, I ASKED if she would like me to dress up as Voldemort. Luckily my sister said yes to both things but if she didn’t want me to I would’ve left it alone. I didn’t surprise her with it out of the blue.
