nope. literally every time they flag back to that suit it's red and black. the figure is even red and black. that was the intention of the artist and it became blue later.

It started black with blue highlights with larger highlights on givers to make it look more dramatic when the artwork went m to romita he interpreted it as blue very clearly

The colorization does get changed in digital comic reprints, but I do think it's supposed to be Red and Black, since a lot of those comic interiors color him with purple shading instead of blue.

I like to think Peter made a slightly higher quality costume with different fabric after he got some money and any spare costume he made uses different fabric from what he could afford at the time

my headcanon is that it was always red and blue but the blue on the ditko suit was like velvet-y or a deeper shade like the eave-brooks suit

it was black and blue but pretty quickly was changed that's why in panels like in slide 5 for flashbacks it's blue because it was made to just always have been that way. same thing happened to Miguel
