@herenchoi: I never realized this would be so emotional. 😭 I saw a mom on here who recorded her last time with her daughter and it was so sweet. I wish I remember who it was but she had filmed in the complete darkness and she had multiple kids (maybe 3 or 4?) and she mentioned how it was more sad knowing that it was truly the last time since they were done having kids. If you know pls tag her in the comments! Ty. I said I’d record my last time inspired by her but didn’t realize I’d get like this. My son has been self-weaning the last 6 mos, and the last 2 weeks I noticed I wasn’t producing anything and he didn’t ask nor look for it. I slowly decreased the number of times I fed him and since babies are so intelligent they know what we mean, I wanted to do it with closure. Any mother on a journey of weaning or stopping for any reason, it’s a weird feeling knowing that they don’t need us anymore. The NB days seemed beyond exhausting but it was a time between us and I treasure those moments. I was so grateful I produced for him these 18 mos and I produced just enough for him (not under or over - although at one point I wished I over produced). If you had a similar feeling - or felt completely different - I’d love to know.
