I hope this doesn’t come across as dismissive at all, I know exactly how you feel, but just to be gentle on your self for not advocating for yourself in that moment because in the throes of labour your brain literally alters how it operates, and your almost UNABLE to speak up and communicate and it’s your brains way of trying to shut out external stimuli 💖

I was the same !!! I was out of it but tbh coming from a rural town who cant take high risk births means driving 6 hours to get to a decent hospital ... for me I look at it as educational for midwives to advocate for the next women who wasn't able to advocate for a natural birth because they were convinced a c section was best because its the controllable birth... I figure more people exposed to knowledge and experience the bettee
