yup that's why we don't do parties anymore my daughter had 3 birthdays in a row where it's the same thing and im tired of seeing her hurt so we do decorations for them and do a fun day with an activity and wherever they want to eat. Last year we did the trampoline park and a local restaurant for her, my son was a few weeks ago and we did an interactive museum and McDonald's per his request, saves their feelings and puts our money towards their day and presents

this happened to my daughter last year on her 3rd birthday. our family showed great full for that but non of the of the people that did RSV from her school showed up not one. lots of food wasted thankfully she didn't really notice cuz she did have all of her family there but it was still I have like an extra 15 people worth of food and party favors and all of it gone to waste
