Update on Mitch 💔🐾 Our brave girl Mitch — the dog we rescued from the terrible fire accident — is still fighting. The burns were deeper than we first feared. The vet has been cleaning her wounds daily to prevent infection, and she’s on strong pain medication because the pain is still very intense. Some areas are slowly starting to dry and heal, but other parts remain raw and extremely sensitive. She cries softly during dressing changes, and it breaks our hearts every single time. But she is holding on. She is eating small amounts. She lifts her head when we speak to her. She wants to live. Burn injuries are not something that heal overnight. They require continuous treatment, antibiotics, special creams, and constant monitoring to prevent deadly infections. This means ongoing medical costs — and as you know, we are already struggling to provide food and care for all the dogs at our shelter. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported Mitch so far. Truly, you are the reason she is still receiving care today. But we still need help to continue her treatment until she fully recovers. Please continue to stand with Mitch. Donate if you can.
