The TW ("grow up") 🤣 Seriously though, thank you so much for sharing your experience, there's so little publicity / support for people with endo out there. The fact you weren't properly informed about the initial procedures you underwent is just awful 😞

i’m 18 and i’ve always had really painful periods which have caused me to faint numerous times, wake up in the night in pain and feel sick from the pain. i keep going to the doctors and ive had an ultrasound and nothing was picked up. doctors telling me it’s normal but getting shocked by my symptoms in the same conversation…

It’s weirdly lovely to hear someone mention health anxiety. I’m suffering badly with it at the moment and it’s nice to know I’m not alone although I wouldn’t wish it on anyone! ❤

It took me 20 years to get diagnosed… people misunderstand this so much. Had a laparoscopy and managed to get pregnant 5 months later 🥰

Women’s health in the UK is absolutely disgraceful. The waiting lists are huge, the lack of understanding is horrific. The amount if GP’s (all male) that have told me it’s just “bad periods” and they will “get better” if I just lose weight.. long story short I after 3 years of pushing, I got diagnosed with PCOS. They gave me the diagnosis and then discharged me from all services and now I have to deal with it alone. I have a whole beard which they wouldn’t help me with and I’m not spending £70 every 2 weeks for electrolysis hair removal, I’ve had a coil put in and it’s been the worst 6 weeks of my life, I just cannot catch a break, can’t lose weight, and they just don’t care. The NHS has absolutely 0 funding for women’s health and Its just so poor

Took me 7 years to be diagnosed and still suffered after surgery and fought for the last 4 and a half years to be listened to again! Finally getting taken seriously last month after a diff consultant told me in August if I was trying for a baby or pregnant they wouldn’t do anything for me. I’m having an MRI a few months after I have my baby towards the end of this year and it was genuinely just the luck of the draw with getting a good consultant 🥲

I have stage 4 Endometriosis. 2 large cysts removed, blood transfusion, fertility issues, pain & a frozen pelvis. I thought heavy periods were the norm until they started to be painful but even then I was told it was a UTI 🙈
