i love this and its kinda cool. it's a really ever way to get data. people go fish, return, and basically answer a survey that helps provide biological data about the surrounding area. I love this.

they're not any kind of enforcement, they're gathering data to see where fish are, what's being caught, what's being released, what depth people are fishing to, it's important information to keep the fish population in check and keep an eye on any invasive species or overfishing of areas, the kind of info that keeps fishing spots safe and well populated
