Endo and adeno has quite literally ruined my life. I’ve been medically going through the menopause for a year now. I’m 32. I don’t feel 32 I’m miserable no therapy helps I had pre cancerous cells couple of months back which got removed it’s just one thing after another and won’t give me a hysterectomy. Went private for my laparoscopy 6k coil put in, left ovary and fallopian tube removed as the endo was bad!! Got the coil removed after 11 months as it didn’t agree with me. Had to fight to get it out. for years I was going doctors with periods lasting 2/3 weeks few days break same cycle. I went from 14 stone to 5 stone in less than 2 years. I feel so so lost. And I’m back at square one can’t financially go private again. It’s so stressful. I started my periods at 10. My daughter is 12 and for her to starts hers gives me such a dread but I’ll also be looking out for signs and be her biggest advocate incase she does get it to! X

this is crazy because my mum is struggling insanely with her periods. They make her stomach swell and she looks pregnant and she bleeds for weeks and weeks on end really heavily. They won’t give her a hysterectomy. She’s 50.

Bless ya heart sweet when you were telling your endometriosis story it was if you were telling mine from start to finish. I had a total hysterectomy ended up septic with a itu admission for 6 weeks multi organ failure I was 27 family and husband were told I wouldn't survive. Luckily I did. I felt i had to fight for them to believe there was anything wrong in the first place was told i didn't have endometriosis so many time I moved from notts down south new consultant did an exploratory lap once inside she looked stitched me back up and within 2 weeks i was having a total hysterectomy. I still suffer today with the scar tissue and hernias. No surgeon will go inside my stomach due to previous issues unless its a medical emergency us endo ladies have to stick together and fight xx

Bless you, it’s hard isn’t it. I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 21. I’m 34 now! I went on Zoladex for a bit to go into a temporary menopause and you’re sooo right about the heightened emotions. I just remember everyone my age was out enjoying the summer, and I was sat at home crying during the heat wave having hot flushes etc. Endometriosis is no joke!! For something so common, it’s so misunderstood and dismissed by doctors x

I've had 2 laps in a year still feel absolutely dreadful all the time. think it time for a hysterectomy I know it's not a cure but I can't take the pain & bleeding anymore, even if it just helps a little. 🥹

Your gynae history is similar to mine, with years of bleeding and 1 point 2 yrs continuous. I got my period age 9 too. I had Endo and Adeno and the ethicon mesh was inserted, resulting in a hysterectomy. Il be on lifelong pain medication for chronic pain due to adhesions caused by 17 abdo surgeries. It really is a silent disability, Thankyou for sharing xx

I have endometriosis, had my first laparoscopic surgery about 5 years ago to remove a 12cm cyst off my ovary and it off my bowl and other places and after that I was symptom free but they couldn't get it all the endometriosis but now I'm on the coil and I'm having a flare up today, got told the coil would stop my periods but haven't and the stuff that comes out from my body, I'm on a referral to gynecology but that will take as long as it takes, I've been to GP but then just want to refer and that's it. I think there is not enough research around it ❤️thank you for speaking out about your experience ❤️

I got diagnosed last May after a 9 year fight with them to take my pain seriously.. It got so much worse after having my last baby nearly 5 years ago.. Basically my consultant said he didn’t believe I had endometriosis or adenomyosis as all my scans/mri was clear.. Turns out I have extensive stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis too, I’m currently week 24 waiting for my next surgery to hopefully remove it all.. I’m like you needing bowel, urinary surgeons, normal surgeon and my gynaecologists in theatre whilst I’m in there so maybe that could factor why it’s a long wait but I was told in August that I’ll be looking at a years wait time. Meanwhile the pain and bleeding is getting worse, it’s literally affected everything in my life. As a working mum of 4 it’s not easy, I’m lucky I have an amazing partner who picks up where I can’t as sometimes I can’t physically move from the pain. I feel like it doesn’t get talked about enough sometimes.. Thank you for sharing your story 🩷🩷 x

I was diagnosed last year with endometriosis neuropathy after having surgery in April I’ve seen a specialist and had an mri which I’m waiting for the the results as they’re not sure if it’s too deep to operate on I’m on the iud which was put in during my surgery I bled for 6 months straight but I’ve stopped now but the pain is so unbearable 🥺 I phoned the gynae yesterday they haven’t received the mri I had done in November so I’m none the wiser but when I saw the specialist he said if I do have surgery I’m going to have to learn to walk again because I can’t feel anything from my knees down and suffer with severe back pain. Honestly my mental health over the years hasn’t been good but the last year has been the hardest I cry ever day I’m on morphine patches and other meds but nothing works 😢 I tell my husband I don’t want to live like this especially with ends as well as my fibromyalgia on top it’s the worst 🥺😢 but thank you for making this video xx
