I couldn’t. Even when my two youngest were in car seats when I had to put gas, I carried one car seat and got my toddler out the car to pay for gas. Anything can happen.

Yeah can say the longest I was ever left in the car alone when I was under the age of 8 was 10 minutes when my mom ran into the place we had ordered dinner from and it wasn’t ready. Never was I left in the car while they went shopping.

I remember I left my 2 yr ildand 5 month old in my car when I ran into the gas station. I was waiting in line when I heard this huge banging noise. I look and seen this lady banging on the window and pointing at me. shes yelling something at me, so I go out to her. She reamed me out for leaving my kids in the car. I mean, she was screaming at me, spit all flying in my face, about how I should never leave my kids alone. And I couldnt defend myself. she was right. I stood there and just took it. Finally she leaves, and I got in my car and left. I never,EVER left my kids alone after that. At the time, I was pissed at the lady for embarrassing me in front of strangers at the gas station, but I ended up being so grateful to that lady.
