honestly, it’s probably a medical emergency. my dad started having memory issues/ fog, retelling stories, speech was slower, he got more easily confused, would jump from conversation topic in a weird way. i hadn’t seen him in awhile so i noticed he was off but my mom who had been around him didn’t notice until i pointed it out because it had happen so gradually. he was having toxins build up in his brain because of liver failure and passed a couple months later. for anyone watching or reading this, please take these type of situations seriously that involve confusion, personality changes or memory issues,and get your loved one checked out. there are so many dangerous causes for these types of problems

A lot of people are commenting jokes answers like skinwalker, but genuinely, either check your house for carbon monoxide or get him checked out for early onset dementia (yes, it can happen to younger people), you might have a medical issue.
