I wish doctors and nurses would better educate parents. I have 3 sons, the last one was born right at the covid shut down. It was hard to get appts but my gut told me something wasn't right. I had never heard of CMPA. learned of it by googling symptoms. he was 90% better after 3 days of no dairy. I went dairy free for 2 breastfeeding years!! 💕

If I’m exclusively bf and I think my baby shows a lot of these signs, would it be a matter of me trialling excluding cows milk from my diet for a few days/week and see if any changes?

It took forever for the doctors to figure this out for us because she was waking up with a high fever every morning. Screaming constantly. As soon as I cut dairy out she was such a happy baby. Night and day.

So I noticed this in my baby boy and the doctor did a great job changing the milk, right now I’m using a completely different formula but the question is why do I still see some of these signs still there?

So this happened to me- I cut dairy from my diet and the blood in the stool stopped- after 1 year we dried dairy and he was fine. I was told it was allergic collitis though, it sounds like the same thing. I saved my milk and have used it to treat any skin conditions in the bath! Good luck mamma!

When I ran out of breastmilk and had to go to formula my son broke out in a rash for 5 months until I switched to regular cows milk at 1. Peds and Derm both said it wasn't the formula it was just eczema. I felt like crap that I couldn't produce and then more so that he had a reaction to the new stuff.

So my baby has been on nutramigen for about 3 weeks now and I can still see mucus on her stools sometimes and she’s very fuzzy can’t even put her down and I want to blame her cold but I’m not sure at this point. We have her 2 month check up next week hopefully I can get some answers

I want everyone to know that not every baby that has this is failure to thrive. A very small percentage over eat and are very large. My son was like this and it took forever to get a diagnosis because he wasn’t small
