I have heard all 4 of those. After a bout with Guillain Barre Syndrome, I had orthopedic surgery and got CRSD/CRPS. I finally quit going to any doctors.

I literally had a doctor convince me to have gastric bypass surgery because in his opinion, my pain was due to my weight, when in fact, it’s fibromyalgia, and multilevel degenerative disc disease. Now because of the gastric bypass I have like 20 more issues on top of my chronic illness. 😔😩🙄

constant. 5 wk ago doctor said anxiety...week later ct shows thick bowel wall lining.had 4 polyps removed 2 weeks later ..years of pajn lost stobe an half jn 6wks..not trying .and lot more goin on health wise to.

When I go to my pain management appointments I'm so scared to talk, afraid I will say the wrong thing. If I am even one pill off it terrifies me. This added stress to my pain is almost unbearable 💔

I was too young for a blood clot when I was 32.....sent home. A week later, I got a phone call to rest and take it easy. I then had to do repeated labs for a blood clot.

I'm looking at being diagnosed with RA/ spondyloarthritis (gp suspects, waiting for rheumatology) and have had sphincter of oddi disfunction for 9 years now. Due to the SOD I can't take any oral pain meds but doctor won't give me anything else, so currently suffering 😭

1. Lost 100 pounds. Done 2. Physical therapy weekly. Done and still doing it. 3. Therapy and meds for anxiety. Done. 4. Wearing all the braces and correct bra. Done. 5. All the interventional injections. Done and traumatized. 6. Acupuncture. Done. 7. Massage trigger point therapy. Done. 8. Tens unit. Done. 9. Yoga for pain. Made it worse. Anything I’m missing? Still have chronic pain.

I lost 60 pounds this year and my arthritic hips hurt even worse because I lost some muscle. My pain doc never told me to lose weight, he told me to join the YMCA. I did that two weeks ago and started strength training. I am already noticing a difference!

I have heard all 4.. at the same time that doctor was coercing me into steroids and Lyrica which put on more weight and caused more pain. But told me I needed to lose weight & refusing to treat my pain adequately because I was too young.. I was 31 and ended up with fibromyalgia and cataracts after that pain management clinic. Dr Vimail LaLa 🙄

"You're having a panic attack" last words of the doctor before they realized I needed my gallbladder out NOW and it was in fact, NOT a panic attack. Did I act out? Maybe. No regrets. It was just ice water and he smelled like smoke anyways. Who gets to tell us if we're in pain or not??? The way I was writhing and bawling for some pain meds.

I called 15 in the night (french of 911) to ask a question about my medications since i'm under a new programme of injection for a few days and didn't know if i could take my usual strong pain killer. I explain that i often have high pain crisis (was at 8-9 at the moment) and my illnesses. Got told i had a headache and take paracétamol. Mind you it doesn't work on me 👌🏻 and that if really i wasn't feeling good still to take ibuprofene. I know the guy was like "another girl just having a headache". I was feeling like i was exploding. But I didn't fight because he said there was no problem taking any medications so i just took my usual ones 😅

Im 25 and I had cancer (chemo, surgery, radiation) I also have Cf. In constant horrible pain everyday. I was told by my pain Dr that I am too young to be on pain meds and that pain meds will make the pain worse. Also was told to try to ignore/think the pain away or try to listen to music to distract myself from the pain. I was shocked that those words came out of a Dr’s mouth… Ridiculous
