I use a can, jug or bottle, punch a small hole and fill with water and set close to the plant. Nothing to hang, or fall down and damage plants. Just fill up with a hose or water can.

I use 2 liters in a similar way. I have some some soaker hoses at dollar store last year super cheap for larger areas
