Also I’ve never gotten a match with someone from Africa. I’ve gotten many Black American matches, white American matches, and some from Europe but no Africans yet. I do think I’m of majority African descent though based on all tests I’ve taken

Off topic but i always found it suspicious how all these countries in my ancestry has a different color for each country. But ironically only Nigeria and United States are labeled with the same color (green). All other countries has a different color except Nigeria and United States🤔

I'm working on emailing both ancestry and ftdna to accurately update my results because like, if they can find 1% volga German in my ancestry they absolutely can find the 8% Amerindian in my dna 🤣 literally verified by GEDMATCH too

Interesting! So from what I understand, one could technically make any two groups related to whatever degree based off of what “attributes” they wish to compare. We are all human so technically we share a lot in common. So it’s whatever the companies want .

I think it’s false. When I first did my dna ancestry it told me I had 10% or less or Nigerian dna after the update it went up to 20 percent and 1-2% of lot of other regions in African Europe and the Mediterranean and a increase in more european ethnicities

They added a label called “Germans in Russia” to my sister’s breakdown. So, does that mean she’s genetically Russian or German? Either way, what would have been the point of the label if these companies supposedly are meant identify origins? I don’t understand why people weren’t talking about that lol.

I’ve been telling people that for years! The reference panels for Black Americans were predetermined by the researchers, the test subjects are ourselves. With the introduction of foreign population and their testing the data will change.

In my traits section with ancestry.com dna test, it said that I have zero possibility of having freckles, yet here I am with a face full of freckles that I’ve had for over 30 years of my 45 years on this here earth 😩😂
