I met my husband the year after I walked away from an avoidant who strung me along for 2 years. Yes it was painful but I used as a fuel to improve myself and I know GOD at that time taught me something.

This is so true! I had nooo boundaries with him at all. And I kept saying that I stayed so long because I saw my old self in him. When I finally walked away and he let me go, in my self healing the clarity came that I needed him as a lesson. Boundaries are there for protection and therefore everyone should have them!

I think my problem is I usually give so many chances, or they’ve done something I just can’t forgive and I’m so upset it makes it easier to leave. With this one, he’s a great guy but hasn’t healed. And it’s being dumped on me. Hard to walk away honestly. But I needed this message today ❤️
