@mikecheck123_: The Ironman was the best experience of my life !! And In my opinion it was worth every penny. I’ll start off by saying I’m incredibly fortunate to have such amazing parents you were able to cover travel and accommodation. However everything else was bought by me Swim - I’ve swam from and early age so I already had all the necessary equipment and the training suits and goggles. So there was very little upfront cost for that. The wetsuit I bought used off a friend which helped a lot ! Bike - Just before signing up for the race I was lucky enough to work in a bike shop, so just before I left that company I was able to buy a few necessities at a slight discount which helped a lot, I recognise the bike was still pretty pricey but it will last me much longer than just the Ironman ! Run - I ran a marathon just before doing the Ironman block so I already had everything I needed for the run ! Again this came in handy as the money was already spent and there wasn’t as big of a an upfront cost Nutrition - this was bigger than I thought but realistically I should have spent more, I neglected using nutrition in a lot of training sessions becuase it’s just so expensive. I ended up stockpiling a lot and still having plenty left over after the race ! The race itself cost £600 which is steep but it’s an amazingly well run event and honestly I would say it’s worth the money. Trust me, if your on the fence… go for it, you won’t regret it and you can do it for much less than this !!
3 pairs of bibs for £120, I wouldn’t wear £120 bibs. 😂

What Garmin? I currently have a Forerunner 55 and did the job for marathon training but need an upgrade as I have stated training for a T100. Any recommendations?
