don't do it they will take over your pond and you will have to clean it every year don't get me wrong they're pretty but they will fill in a pond with all their vegetation when it dies

I got them too I put them in my goldfish bowl and I got a few green leaves and then they just died no blooms no beautiful flowers. waste of my money

Good luck I got hundreds an so far we followed instructions on Internet. we got them to grow leaves up to a foot tall.then died
