@samwilderofficial: This post is for me, but also a hello to any avid readers out there. I’m aware it’s not what I usually post! When I was 8 I started dreaming up my own fantasy world. That world has taken on many forms - it started as a video game (obviously!) - but slowly over time the lore deepened, the characters felt more real and I knew I’d actually built something that I felt people would enjoy. This a story that needs to be told. It’s been asking to be let out for almost a quarter of a century!! By putting this out there - I know it’ll help me get it done. I’ve told myself 500 words a day from today. And I just wrote 2500. I will get this first draft done, and as hard as it may be, I want to explore the trad publishing route whenever it’s ready, even if I don’t reach out for another couple of years. Anyway I digress - it’s never too late to start something new. So try it. Here’s to 2026. #booktok #writer #fantasybook #fantasybooktok
