There was a time when I was strong, healthy, and rarely thought twice about my body. I had goals, routines, and everyday concerns that felt important at the time. Then, in a moment, I was paralyzed. Suddenly, almost everything else became secondary. My only concern was finding a way to move forward and regain as much of my life as I could. Life still isn't easy. I still have difficult days, limitations, and things I wish were different. But I also have something I didn't have before — perspective. I know how quickly life can change. I know how valuable ordinary moments really are. Taking out the trash, working out, spending time with family, walking a few steps. They're no longer ordinary to me.
