Christianity does not teach that God condemns people for lacking a belief they cannot control. It teaches that people are morally responsible for how they respond to the truth available to them, not for generating belief by sheer willpower.

Let's clear this up - It is largely correct that beliefs are not directly voluntary. One cannot, by an act of will, believe what one takes to be false. Belief is a cognitive response to what appears true given one’s evidence and reasoning. This position, often called doxastic involuntarism, is widely accepted in contemporary epistemology. However, the involuntariness of belief does not imply the absence of agency altogether. While assent itself is not chosen, agents exercise voluntary control over actions that shape belief formation, such as which sources to consult, which arguments to consider, whether to reason carefully or negligently, and whether to remain open or resistant to counterevidence. Responsibility, where it exists, therefore attaches to these voluntary epistemic practices rather than to belief taken in isolation. Appealing to the involuntariness of belief still does not address the truth of any belief. Showing that a person cannot simply choose to believe a proposition says nothing about whether the proposition is true, false, justified, or warranted. It is a psychological claim about belief formation, not an epistemic evaluation of competing truth claims. Consequently, invoking the involuntariness of belief neither refutes theism nor supports atheism. The question of God’s existence concerns metaphysical and evidential considerations such as coherence, explanatory power, and grounding, not the degree of voluntary control agents have over their doxastic states. Confusing these issues conflates how beliefs are formed with whether they are rational or true. At most, the involuntariness thesis places constraints on simplistic accounts of moral responsibility for belief. It does not function as an argument against the truth of religious claims themselves. Everything on earth has a physical cause and a material cause. The physical cause is how it came to be, meanwhile the material is what it is made out of, a tree, material cause is the bark, leaves, branches, and roots, while the physical cause is the growth through photosynthesis, coming from a seed. This applies to any thing in the universe, a banna, a human, a toy. Even though we know the material cause of the universe, many like to say the physical universe is the big bang, which I am fine with, but again, the bigbang must have its own creator in the sense, this is god. Now you may ask, who created god? Yet this question only makes sense if God is the kind of thing that needs a cause. Everything within the universe has a physical and material cause because it is contingent: it depends on something else for its existence. But the argument for God here is that the chain of physical causes cannot regress infinitely; there must be a first cause that is not itself caused, otherwise nothing would ever begin. God, by definition in this framework, is not a material object within the universe but the necessary, uncaused cause that explains why anything exists at all. Asking who created God is like asking what temperature blue is. It treats God as a physical object rather than the foundational explanation for physical objects. Christians say, “God always was and always will be.” Meaning God has existed forever, before the universe. Something must be forever and always, because there has to be an end to the chain of creation, a first thing, without a creator. Many say this can not be possible, that the universe can exist forever and always but if the universe had existed forever, BUT that would mean the past contains an infinite number of events.But an actual infinite cannot be crossed. Think of it like this,if the universe had no beginning, then an infinite number of moments would have had to pass before we reached today. But you cannot “traverse” an infinite sequence one step at a time.Therefore, we could never arrive at the present moment. Christianity is ideologically aligned with capital-h Hate, specifically self hate, due to the atonement and resurrection of Jesus. There is no neutral or innocent sect of Christianity to protect. Christianity requires people to outsource their faith to another being and to put said being on a pedestal, which is never healthy. Christianity requires that members dilute their individuality to "become more like Jesus". The notion of original sin in genesis makes people feel guilty for existing. No amount of quoting or quarreling over doctrine or a fallen nature is going to undo the damage this does to the human brain. Religious queer people kill themselves over this. This ideological structure predictably kills people. Plus, the atonement is a guilt-tripping saviorship dynamic of indebtedness nobody could have consented to. It happened before we were born. When people say the phrase "I can do anything through Jesus," it is subtly hiding the message that you are nothing without Him. Self-hate perfectly predicts the contradictions you find in this theology. It's why Christians want to be sheep but also lions. Why they want divine forgiveness but also divine retribution. Why they want free will but also God's will. You will eventually be everything if you are constantly abasing yourself. They align themselves with authority, not empathy, thinking that it makes themselves objective, when it is the complete opposite. Intersubjectivity is the closest you can get to objectivity, not authority. They identify themselves so much to a belief (even though you are not your beliefs) that there is no room for exploration, reevaluation, or accountability. They Hate other perspectives even when they are true. They think being convinced is a choice. They think coercion is a choice. They think circumstances are a choice. That's fundamentally hostile to the human condition. All in all, this Christian religion is like celebrating one slave master (Jesus) because they bought you from another (Yhwh). Christians are still people who deserve love and respect, but that is because they are people, not because they are Christians, and they are adults responsible for the harm they cause still.
