Dude, it's the same way with pears. pears have a window of about three point nine seconds where they are deliciously sweet, smooth and not gritty. if you blink a moment too late, you are eating gritty mush. Two seconds too soon you are eating gritty bland cardboard. 😒😒😒

Buy your avocados at a Mexican grocery store and you will never be disappointed. They are ripe and ready to eat as soon as you get them home, and they will keep in the refrigerator crisper drawer for more than two weeks and be just as perfect as the day you brought them home.

Nah, I’ve got my avocado squeeze calibrated to a 99% accuracy rate. Also, once ripe, put them in the fridge and they will stay good for 2-3 weeks. That knowledge changed my purchasing pattern entirely!🤣😏

😳 In our country a box of avocados is arranged by ripeness with little stickers on each one. The day you buy it, 1–2 are ready to eat right away, and then another 1–2 will ripen each day after that. You won’t get a whole box where they’re all at the same stage of ripeness. 🥑

I had two Avacado trees in my backyard growing up in East LA. And if you want to ripen faster, put in brown paper bag.
