All in the family had a similar issue. But it makes sense since All in the family heavily influenced South Park. The mental framework of viewers when becoming very engaged in a show is very interesting. Like people who loved Hell Raiser so much, they sent Pinhead love letters; or people who sent Gillian’s island people when they will get off the island unironically.
