Intubating a cat without gloves is actually very common and appropriate. As long as hands are clean, gloves are not required for safety or sterility. In some cases, gloves can make it harder to feel what you’re doing, and good tactile feedback is important to place the tube gently and correctly. What matters most is proper technique, clean hands, and keeping the patient safe and comfortable. Everything is cleaned between patients, including washing our hands. We also use sterillium to clean our hands.

For yall asking about gloves obviously had never worked in vet med or know how much we wash our hands on a daily, intubating is difficult with gloves on !
