@shamaraguinot: To anyone who thinks being part of the worship ministry is cool and easy… when you take this ministry seriously, you know it’s not. It’s always a battle. There’s persecution, and sometimes it leads me to doubt. But this song always hits me especially when the congregation starts singing and takes over. In those moments, I’m reminded that I endured, not injured. Because from the very beginning, this was never about my ways, but Jesus’ ways. Still, I find myself wrestling with this question… am I still chosen? I find myself asking this because there are thoughts in my head telling me to stop serving… to just be silent. Not because I don’t love God, but because the weight gets heavy. Because sometimes it feels easier to disappear than to keep showing up wounded and hurt. Yet even in the silence, He reminds me this was never about my strength, my perfection, my talent or my voice.
