@sbsnews_au: Actor Mark Ruffalo used his time on the Golden Globes red carpet to pay tribute to Renee Good, who was shot and killed by a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer while in her car last week, while also delivering a scathing criticism of US President Donald Trump. Wearing a 'Be Good' pin, in a show of support for anti-ICE protests, Ruffalo told USA Today: "This is for the people in the United States who are terrorised and scared today." Criticising the recent US capture of ousted Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, the actor said Trump was "telling the world international law didn't matter to him", and that the only thing "that matters to him" was "his own morality". In 2023, Trump was found liable in a civil case for sexually abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll. He has not been convicted of rape in a criminal case and has never been charged with any child sex offences. Trump is the first convicted felon to be US president after he was found guilty in 2024 on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
