I’m always blown away by people who do 5-6+ hour marathons. Being on your feet and moving forward for that long is exhausting and absolutely very hard!!

Just me & my Cavalier :
THANK YOU!!! It took me just over 7 grueling hours to cross my finish line!! I also did a 5K, a 10K, and a 1/2 marathon the three days leading into my first marathon. Dopey finisher 2025 and still cannot believe I did it!!!

I’ve done 11 marathons and the first one was 7:22.. the fastest is 6:10.. the longest 8 hrs (Honolulu - super humid and hot). But I get the feedback that I’m slow.. but I did finish and I’m proud of those finish times

absolutely! both are hard . just finished my 1st marathon this sunday (it was a 6 hour marathon) and mostly everyone afterwards was walking like a penguin. we all were in the same amount of pain regardless of time! 😂

Thank you for this. I will be in my first marathon this March and looking to finish in 6.5 hours. Power walking it. I just did 18 miles as part of my training. It was tough but I did it!

My first marathon was yesterday. It was hilly and humid 😅 I finished in 5:26. Not the time I aimed for but it was a big accomplishment for me.

my first 5k was in 30 minutes. I about died. a few years later I ran a 5k in 23 minutes and I still about died
