@thehistorymagpie: This beach in Whitstable, Kent is absolutely full of oyster shells, and for good reason! The oysters here have been harvested since the Romans occupied the island. They were sent back to the empire as a delicacy, and even today the Kentish coastline is covered in businesses pushing these beautiful bivalves 🦪🤌🏻 #oysters #kent #seafoodlover #britishfood
