I’d recommend Putting the extra money in a high yield savings account and then on Dec 2026 do a lump sum for the remaining balances. You’d have saved a bit if change in the course of a year and still meet your goal

I’m so glad you got this revelation! I did the same with my brand new 2022 RAV4, my car note was $535, paid $1k each month. 2.5 years later, and my car is paid off and completely mine🙏🏾
