@letsbetechs: Sometimes I use what I call the Swiss cheese method to thaw ice off of these coils, if it's a busy day and I can come back in a few hours or if I have other work to do at the same location. Leave the fans running and have the condenser turned off. I find it's way more efficient for me on time to do this method rather than continually running and refilling a pump sprayer and back, removing all the fan guards blades and reassembly, this just typically doesn't take much longer. I definitely don't even try heat guns anymore, Way too long and I don't like milk the job. I would typically use a 2 gallon pump sprayer full of hot water but I'm really enjoying my power sprayer. This is just the way I do it sometimes. If you don't like it for yourself, then don't do it. #hvac #hvacapprentice #hvac #hvacr #refrigerationtech
Not missing anything. Need to add a spring door closer. They don’t use teflon closers on that big of a door. Also crown Tonka is now called Everridge.

So what was wrong with it? Was it the defrost board?

I have the battery powered Milwaukee pump sprayer with a two gallon tank, melts the ice in half the time of a garden hose.

🤔 Another commenter needs to help me on this-
But there must be some kind of anti frost spray you can give that thing?
Maybe not like that two part never stick(c) stuff, cause then the condensation aspect wont work properly, but gotta be some kind of preventative.

Many ways to defrost. Every tech has different great ideas. On a walk in cooler. I unhook compressor contactor. Run fans only. Go run another service call. Come back in a few hours . Just my technique ✌
