@saxenasooraj: Stop being afraid to grieve the lives you’ll never live. The careers you won’t choose or identities you won’t wear. The relationships you let go of & all the various versions of you that will never get their turn. Instead of choosing, you always hover & skim the surface & keep every door cracked open so nothing ever has to die. But it’s the limitation of being human is what gives life depth. A sense of direction creates intimacy & commitment is what creates meaning. Depth will only come when you stop chasing every shiny possibility & actually enter one!!! You mistake options for freedom but it’s just avoidance. And then you tell yourself other paths have greener pastures but really that’s just fear of saying no to the versions of you that won’t manifest in one lifetime. And by not actually choosing, you don’t live everything. You live nothing. That paralysis is far more damaging than choosing “wrong.” You’re allowed to choose one thing and let the others rest, not maybes it’s forever, just not NOW. Be fully present with one path at a time. Go all in for a season. Operate as if there’s no backup plan. And when it’s complete & no longer alive, you’re allowed to shed the skin and become someone new. But depth only comes after commitment.
