I have no idea how Papi stays in business. Expensive food for what it is, and not that good. Many other awesome food places in walking distance. Also, the drinks are fun… but loaded with ice. If you want a buzz, you would need to drink 10.

Have you tried a lot of Puerto Rican food? Like do you have a preference toward that type of food? I feel that a review is partially the critics taste as well. If it’s aimed at the average person then it works but many actual Puerto Ricans I know really like it.

Papi’s food can be a hit or miss, fully agree. For fried chicken, Crispy Gai is where it’s at. I will say Papi’s cocktails are awesome but their star mixologist left so the menu is stagnant. I much prefer Blyth and Burrows for drinks.

All the comments hating on Papi but I live for their pernil dinner plate and their apps and drinks are delicious. Maybe it’s become a tourist attraction which makes it annoying but can’t knock the quality
