@woodshopdiaries: Fine finish vs reverse cut jig saw blades on plywood. Which is better? Like everything, it depends. 😅 My takeaways from this experiment: 1. The cleanest cuts with both blades on both sides of the piece are made on the 0 orbital setting. 2. The reverse cut blade gives cleaner results overall, but is hard to control and is actually much slower on the higher settings. They’re only meant to be used on 0. 3. Fine finish blades are SUPER clean on the bottom side on all orbital settings. 4. Fine finish and reverse cut blades give practically identical results on both sides on the 0 orbital setting. I will personally still chose a fine finish blade on the 0 orbital setting for cleanest and easiest cuts on ply and other woods. Obviously this was not an all inclusive, comprehensive, “cover every possible situation” experiment.
