i watched it, guess the plot twist right away. it was too obvious the man was the problem and the theater night felt way too orchestrated.

Slightly Imperfect Nate :
Im a writer in Hollywood. I call these Hollywood Luck moments or "writing through mud". When you cant find a solution to a scene, but know the next scene and want to move on, you write something stupid knowing you'll go back and fix it on a rewrite. Except in the last 10 years they've been filming the rough drafts so no one fixed them.

I went into it blind. I thought my mom was taking me to go see a romantic movie and honestly that made it so much more enjoyable because I had no clue what was going on.

She isn’t simply trying to escape with her child, she’s engineering a divorce to secure true freedom. Her strategy is to select a candidate with a survivor’s instinct, someone strong enough to endure what she did and compelling enough to become her husband’s next obsession. The scene where she identifies his only weakness makes the plan coherent. Enzo’s objection implies other options existed, but this is clearly the most effective path to her freedom.

I’ve read the book and it doesn’t make it better. Plus if you have to read the book to understand the movie then it’s not a good movie

Terrible idea imo because who’s to say she wouldn’t have ran right to Andrew to tell him, esp after hearing what the other moms and Nannie’s were saying …I liked it as is 7.5/10

One of my questions was why would Nina out to her husband that she knew Milly had been in prison? Couldn’t he have quickly looked up her record to see that she’d been convicted of murder?

Yeah I kept thinking about how down Syndey’s character would have been if Nina let her in on the plan

You worded that so well. Movies + shows that are arguably worse are the ones where it just so happens that 2/3 different characters intersect in some way or the plot advances in a way that’s truly supposed to be a coincidence. Same in all her fault when the nanny happppened to stumble upon her son

that was exactly the twist that I wish would have happened... as soon as the movie ended, I had the same thought.
