The city should be responsible for the snow and ice they push onto the public sidewalks when they pile the windrows so high. I’m responsible for removing that snow and ice on any other occasion.🤷🏼♀️RIDICULOUS!!!!

The city says it needs more money—wouldn’t fining people who don’t move their cars be an effective way to generate revenue? The money from those fines should easily cover the salaries of the bylaw officers issuing them and could even fund additional officers to improve enforcement. It’s hard to understand where the city’s money is going when taxes keep increasing, the cost of rec centres and other public amenities rises, and yet basic services like snow removal still aren’t handled properly. Then the city says it wants more people to use public transit, but at the same time makes it difficult to walk to transit stops because sidewalks aren’t accessible due to a lack of funding. The city’s priorities are ridiculous.

Where's are all our property taxes going. They raised the property assessments on properties and raised taxes and given less services. city of Edmonton is a joke.

Do people not talk to their neighbours anymore? If I had more cars than parking spaces, I would be asking my neighbours if they had any driveway space for me to borrow during the removal. And vice versa, I’ll offer up my space for anyone who needs it.
