I got a 2016 f150 platinum with the 3.5l eco boost great truck. No problems at all. It’s got 160,000 tow and haul heavy all the time. I do Change the oil every 5k miles and transmission filter and fluid every 50k miles. The only problems was the transmission valve body harness

About the only thing I don’t like on Ford trucks is one of the same things I don’t like about Dodge trucks. Front suspension, especially the ball joints go out way sooner than Chevy or Toyota. But, like you say, it’s really easy to work on.

2017 model 53,000 miles just did the IWE update all new parts had both back calipers replaced I love the 5.0 in it but the IWE is crap 😎 respectfully lol

2015 5.0 f150. Currently 160k miles on it since thanksgiving I’ve put 10k miles on it. Zero issues out of it. Hauled a trailer from western South Dakota to central FL. Boat from FL to VA multiple times. Absolutely love the truck. Much better than the 2019 I had.

I bought an 08 f350 with a 5.4 cheap. I knew what i was getting into. Timing chain guides were broken and it was just worn out. Bottom end looked good so I had the heads rebuilt. It also had a weak fuel pump. Got it running good and that effin 350 took almost 100 miles for the transmission to relearn. Had me worried for a bit but it’s running good now and headed to the paint shop 👍

2016 5.0 bought it new. changed starter, radiator, heater hoses,oil pan gasket, 2 water pumps. 120k miles. Great truck all around

I have a 17 with 225,000 miles. Only repairs it’s needed mechanically are starter and AC clutch. I’ve replaced a drivers door handle and cable.

I’ve had a 2016 with the 2.7 ecoboost, now pushing 150k. Only thing that has failed is the coolant temp sensor. The pano roof had a plugged drain tube around 30k but nothing since. GREAT truck.

I have a '17 with a 5.0L with 110k miles. I had 2 coolant leaks. One from the water pump and the other an upper radiator hose. I replaced them along with the plastic "Y" pipe with an aluminum one and all belts and tensioners for preventative maintenence purposes. Change oil with Pennzoil Ultra every 3k miles and transmission fluid twice so far. No other problems!! I love it!!!!

I just scored one cheap because it has 225,000 miles on, 5.0 6 speed. It drives like new. I’m so impressed. Fighting a slight torque converter shudder, but I’ll fix that in the spring.
