going back to my canto roots and got @Pingsnyc for brunch! 📍 Ping 22 Mott St, New York, NY 10013 all dim sum was $7 regardless of the size (small, med, large) which was so value if you order the larger sizes! they still have one dim sum cart rolling around (for da vibes) and servers walking around with the fresh round of dimsum. my fam just placed our order from the menus but love how they kept some of the traditional elements of yumcha alive in the city. we ordered a mix of traditional and unique plates to try: 🥟fried dough stick rice noodle 🥟minced beef ball 🥟pork shu mai 🥟bean curd skin stuffed chicken and taro 🥟crab and seafood dumpling 🥟roast pork (cha sui) puff pastry 🥟coconut milk pudding 🥟stone grilled seafood rice noodles 🍵 jasmine tea my favorites were the fried dough rice noodle, bean curd with chicken, and the stone grilled noodles!! the size of the rice noodles were also huge, the largest ive seen at any other chinese spots and was crispy, hot and fresh. my mom also liked how you can add the soy sauce yourself and not have to ask the cart lady to add more lolol its the little things. some of the items were a bit pricey for the size (dim sums be expensive 😫) but the flavors were there and had a good amount of meat/seafood. was also suprised how there was no crowd for lunch since dinners here are so packed so maybe i found the hack?? anyways will be back for more dimsum/dinners here #newyork #hiddengems #nycresturants #cheapeatsnyc #nycfood
