Bear mountain bridge. My neck of the woods! I go up that way to get away from the city. Lots of spots around that area. Cold spring , Peekskill , cortlandt , beacon and so on. Not bad at all !

Mrs Harriman who with her husband owned thousands of acres known now as Harriman State Park. She built the bear mt bridge so her sister can cross faster to come visit. It cost 1 million dollars at the time. She then collected a toll and when she made back her million she then gave it to the state of NY.
