if I'm being honest I agree with this but if I ever have to get divorced I would make so the split between houses is the same and alternating every week. I know that when I was younger I would get upset and miss the other parent but now I'm used to being away from my parents for long periods of time and I never get homesick, where as some people I know get homesick very easy cause they spend basically their whole life with the same people

I didn’t want this for my children either but now they have 2 parents that are much better parents apart than they ever were when they were together. They also don’t come home to a hostile house full of arguments, it’s now their safe place and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Staying together for the children actually damages the children rather than helps them.
