I think the problem people had with 28 Years later had everything to do with their expectations. Everyone was expecting a violent, gory, action filled entry but what we got was a nuanced, emotional allegory on family, grief, death and toxic masculinity. Can definitely see it being reappraised in 10-20 years as one of the greats.

Saw it last night. I loved the first movie but this one was fantastic too. It’s nastier and scarier, mainly because the Jimmies are just evil, also funnier. Did miss young bloods but the film still has some truly great needle drops.

I Love My Hot WIFE!!! :
There were two scenes (a specific song in the soundtrack and another scene I won’t even begin to hint at for fear of spoiling) where my mouth was fully agape. An incredible movie

I liked the first part more ugh I feel like Spike’s character was so sidelined and the Jimmys were just kinda cruel and not much else… I loved the Dr Kelsen Alpha storyline tho.

This movie would be great as a stand alone movie but it doesn’t fit the series at all. The 1st movie was realistic and dramatic. 2nd movie was kind of a B movie. This movie was over the top and campy, they abandoned all realism. Should have just been its own movie and not part of the series.
