3 years in and it’s all clicking. Why I can never talking about my feelings to him or I risk being ignored for days now, even if I’m calm and use proper I statements, why I feel so lonely in this relationship, why I feel like his comfort trumps my emotional safety. I can’t even ask him questions regarding his works or simply sharing his location because then it’s just a back and forth. I’m in therapy to earn my security with myself, he says he doesn’t mind therapy but he’s too busy for it. I give up on him.

Do They come back after therapy and healing? Mine decided to fix himself and went to therapy. And told me If that day comes that his fully healed and om still single then we can start again.

send this to my fiance or whatever he is at this point... doea evruthing in his power to argue me out of my feelings... his truth matters more than me feeling hurt... his principles, intentions, justifications more important than me and what we had... accountability and impact and saying sorry are foreign words to him... now he says he is burnt-out and needs to find his stability first to know if he even wants to fight for this... yeah, great, like I havent been burnt-out for months...

my issue with my husband(who just be a DA)is he constantly feels like my words are critical, he says apologies always have ulterior motives. Show his feelings are all about what’s inside of him and I don’t know how to live with that. I can’t even ask him why he bought something into the store because he used to that as a criticism.

What advice would you give to an avoidant that just keeps saying “I don’t know how or where to start?” Me and my wife of 17 years are close to possible divorce because she can’t learn new ways to cope or interact with me. Just the same old BS lines

8 years with my avoidant bf. I broke up and wanted to remain friends because it hurt too much being lonely in a relationship alone. About 6 weeks later we are engaged. Because I asked him after he bravely bridged the gap. He stepped up without pressure. He amazes me daily! I can tell the difference in his heart. He is visually happier. I cried when he touched my face and called me beautiful for the first time. He is healing me too. His awkwardness in touching me or talking about the "mushy" stuff is sweet. He no longer just gives me the kind of peck you would give your grandma. It feels like an exciting new relationship with the familiarity of a best friend.
