@mcmahondogtraining: Bailey is learning how to walk on a loose leash. We started by stopping when she lunged forward, and when that wasn’t effective for her, we introduced leash pops to create clearer communication. #DogTraining #dogtrainer #dogs #dogtrainingtips #dogobedience
I’ll stop and then my dog will stop and just not look back at me. He’ll sit for everrrr just looking straight ahead.

Omg, tik tok is the only thing helping me train my 1 yo pup. He pulls and is very distracted by people and other animals (pulls & barks). Your teaching style is helping the most. Thank you so much!

How do I get a collar on my dog? She runs and starts barking frantically. Even if I try when she’s busy with a bone or asleep she will get up, move and keep barking and growling at me. She’s such a good girl but I just can’t get a collar on her

Any advice for working with dogs that are not food motivated? My dog has never ever responded to treats for anything, and she’s been with us for 5 years.

I’ve been trying this technique with my shepherd mix puppy and he will just sit at the end of the leash and have a grand time listening and watching anything. Tips?

How old would you say a dog has to be to start that exrecise? I have a 4 month old corgi. Is it not to young to do that?

Wait I’m confused. There have been times with certain dogs where you just stop. Why lean back in this case?

whats your opinion on the use of prong collars with this meathod? i have a gsd and ive been trying this meathod for a while but I just cant seem to get anything to stick. even using high reward treats like chicken & bacon she will just tug relentlessly as soon as we approch anything she wants to sniff

R 6 month old puppy walks perfectly to heel when we r in quiet ish areas but as soon as we add lots of cars/people/dogs she looks like she’s never seen a lead and spins, lunges, and I don’t understand why. Is she overstimulated? Nervous? I can get her to ignore other dogs for rewards when she’s in a calmer environment. It’s soooo frustrating
