I have a very similar setup with a HP G3 mini with an m.2 adapter running 2 drives currently as my media server. I used regular sata cables on mine but I’ll have to try and find the ones you used as those would be much better than what I used. Thanks for sharing.

Part 2 do we can see how you power them up? Can you also link the sata adapter? I have the same pc and would love to set it up as an arr stack with jellyfin.

Can I ask how ur going to power up the hard drives, I currently have a couple of dell servers running which are power consuming, so I’m thinking of shutting them down and follow ur design ?

I just ditched the sata caddy and just left the drive mounted in the slot. The computer is in the same rack you have and it’s never going to move. It’s been months and no issues.

Where did you find that sata cable bundle? I searched everywhere for that exact type of cable and the best I found was single cables on AliExpress, not the 6 cable sleeved bundles

Use a USBDOM for Unraid boot, and a SATADOM for the sata cache.

I would take out the M.2 that has the WiFi card in it and put the boot drive there. I’m not to keen on the different M.2 types. Not sure if that would even work

That’s cool. I have a similar setup using a PI 4 Model B and Netgear NAS (4x1TB SATA) and I’ve created a web interface for managing everything 😁
