I just turn the hot tap off while the cold ones on then it cools the hot water down then u can turn it back on

im a frostbite kind of person since my dad burnt me with the hot tap (literally blistering burns i had no idea taps weren't meant to be able to do that) when I was little

The trick is to wash your hands as fast as you can in the hot before it gets hot, then finish in the cold, then warm your hands up real quick in the hot for a second.
