@thelonesol: more info about MY van + why I chose a sprinter 👀 I bought my van almost 3 years ago off of Facebook marketplace after looking for months. It was in 2023, so the Van market was pretty bad, and I was finding that buying specific sprinter was the same price as a van of the same year — for reference my van is an old Amazon cargo van, that was auctioned off when Amazon started rolling out their electric vehicle vehicles. The list price was $25,000 and it had 80,000 miles on it. A few reasons why I chose a sprinter van: - diesel engine, giving it a longer lifespan - enough space to have a full living area - I’m 6 foot and can stand up fully - reliability - and drivability, while it’s not four-wheel-drive, it has the highest clearance compared to a Ford transit or a Ram promaster There are so many different variables to buying a van…depending on your budget, you’re non-negotiables, how tall you are, if you want to build it out…you name it! But it doesn’t have to be complicated, start by writing out a list of everything your dream van would have and how much you wanna spend. Then start researching, look at Facebook marketplace or @vanlifetrader to see what lines up with your budget. at this point, you either reevaluate if you don’t see anything you can reasonably buy, or you find exactly what you’re looking for!
