If you have fertility issues - have your baby when you can have your baby but the truth is having a baby in the winter is such a tough mental process 😭😭😭

I’ve had MDD for years and then had my son in October, and honestly it was the best thing ever. I felt like I actually had a genuinely decent reason to be inside and be lazy, and not hate myself over it.

I had my baby end of January and thought it was perfect tbh. Got out of shoveling. Baby cuddles to keep warm. By the time I got cleared at my 6 week check up it was nice to take walks outside again most days

Alberta mom here. Get a good winter cover for your car seat and a footmuff for your stroller. With my car seat I’m able to put babe in a regular outfit or fleece sleeper with a hat and a blanket and he’s toasty warm. Colder days I’ll put a onesie and pants under a fleece sleeper. With out footmuff it’s the same thing. Lots of moms if just walking will kiddos in their suits and still in the car seat with looser straps. You gotta do what you gotta do

I was worried about having a baby in the winter bc I had her January 5th but then I kind of liked it because I feel like summer is just so fast pace and you wanna get out and do stuff so it was nice to just stay home and chill with my baby and not have to worry about her getting sick or anything

But actually have the baby in the winter and it’s pure bliss. End of January. Took me two months to heal. Had a baby to snuggle and it was April by the time I was ready to get outside.

Absolutely! My son is a late November baby! It was wild. My daughter was May! So it was much better!

Put your kid in their regular outfit, a bunting suit, hat and put a blanket over them or a car seat cover to go to and from the house to the car and to wherever they are going. Unless it’s -40 or a full on blizzard I can guarantee you they will be fine and it will save you time.

My daughter was born in December and my son in August and the difference was wild being able to take your baby on walks easily is a game changer!!!
