I had a similar experience. I had behavioural problems in school so they sent me to an alternative learning centre. I dropped out because I thought I had a great job, I didn't. I still haven't gotten my HS diploma, but I want to. I was the weird kid emo/scene kid. to this day I still have a hard time with other people. I just stick to my cars and keep my head down.

My mom dropped out of high school also. She got her GED years later. It's never too late. Be true to yourself. ❤

i feel that the school I went to all the teachers bullied the students and you couldn't do anything about it and which is why I left

I had a real hard time in all my schooling too and with teachers especially. Sorry we had to deal with that.

school is not designed for the learning style that each student may need so its not for everyone as we always learn and find things differently. teachers are not trained to deal with students on a personal level to help them when they arent able to keep up because its not their learning style. I dont think you have anything here to feel wrong by not doing it. I think your awesome

I can understand that, I have had many bad teachers and struggled in learning especially with my disabilities, but 2 schools and 1 University in particular made me want to quit (my family move alot so I went to many schools and colleges) sadly I can't teach you whatever college or university things you want to learn unless it's programming but I truly understand where you're coming from, 2 of the main reasons I didn't quit is I had no other option, no other schools, no experience or anything so I couldn't get a job,2 my family has high expectations for me and even after school and college I had to help my family alot so I had little time for myself

Damn understandable. That's kinda nightmarish. Vice principal told me I was too old to be there anyway so I up and left. Felt teary eyed in the hall, then some faculty guy that helps with grades I guess asked what was wrong, reluctantly I told him & he said oh well geds are easy. That was the nail in the coffin. Wrong answer dude. Funny bonus. Ged guy saw me in Walmart a few years later and asked me how I was but I didn't recognize him, so I kind of had an attitude and said, "Do I know you?" I apologized but it was funny- ironic.

I had a math teacher who really made it hard for me. She accuse me of smoking. When I didn't and called me a liar, after I told her that my dad is a chimney. Also more stuff that wasn't true. but unfortunately, she wasn't the reason why I dropped out of high school. She's the reason why I left that school. But unfortunately the last straw for me was when my older brother got cancer. I think people should stop judging people for not finishing school. Especially since they don't know the story

The internet is never a safe space. Honestly the way I look at it if you could put your worth on a piece of paper. you ain't worth that much. The piece of paper does not define you or anybody for that matter. You just get you something , you're good at and run with it

Honestly Sleepy you got to do what’s best for you! School wasn’t really for me. I struggled through school every year having ASD myself and not being diagnosed until after school ended. Tried college but ended up finding out that I’m more hands on and decided not to pursue going back.

also high school drop out, currently 34 and pushing for GCSE and going for a course in management and health and safety, it's really more about pushing yourself to those goals when others tell you cant do it, remind yourself your doing it for you no one else. Also my bestie was that so called art Kid.. is now a graphics designer for games.
