I might be Pagan, but Jesus was such a cool dude. Despite what the Christians in my life say, I think we’d get along great.

Jesus flipping tables refers to the moment when He cleansed the temple in Jerusalem.Matthew 21:12–13, Gospel of Mark 11:15–17, Gospel of Luke 19:45–46, and Gospel of John 2:13–17. What was happening in the temple Inside the Second Temple, merchants and money changers were, Selling animals for sacrifices Exchanging Roman coins for temple-approved currency Charging high prices and exploiting worshippers. This activity had turned a place meant for prayer into a marketplace. Why Jesus overturned the tables? Jesus reacted strongly because of three main reasons: 1. The temple was being disrespected Jesus said: “My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of robbers.” He believed the temple was meant for worship, not profit. 2. People were being exploited Pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem often had no choice but to buy animals there, and money changers charged unfair exchange fees. 3. It was a prophetic act Jesus’ actions symbolized judgment against corruption in religious leadership and pointed to a deeper spiritual problem. Was Jesus being violent? Most biblical scholars say this was a symbolic act of righteous anger, not uncontrolled violence. He drove out merchants and overturned tables to make a dramatic point about holiness and justice. The deeper message Christians often interpret this event as showing that: Righteous anger against injustice can be appropriate Faith should not be corrupted by greed Worship should be sincere and pure It’s one of the few moments in the Gospels where Jesus shows public anger in defense of God’s holiness and people being currupt. Jesus flipped the tables because the temple had become corrupt and exploitative, and He was restoring it as a place of prayer.

also, notice how he's not aiming for the merchants, he hits the table to make them back off and then he overturns the table ✌🏻 when he needs to pass then, he holds out his arm and swipes past them gently while focused on the tables

Someone needs to dress up as jesus (in a non blasphemous, respectful way.) and just stand there at the protests. Don’t speak to the officers, don’t interact. Just stand there and let your message speak louder than your words.

Sometimes anger has to be shown. Sometimes.....you will be required to do things in this life to stand up to others. Just please don't use your power to hurt others as we have been hurt. We fight together. We rise together.
