I don’t like my shower curtain open either. Open to help dry out and prevent more mold.

Don’t be stretching the phone cord too far! Don’t put your head on the back of the couch (grease stains). Don’t drag your hands on the wall. Don’t walk the same path on the carpet so you don’t develop a path where it’s wearing down.

I say these are poverty trauma response??? 🤪Not sure if that is even a thing. Sometimes I try to “save” things. I think it’s a response of not having a lot at one time. I may be overthinking lol

The shower curtain thing I agree with. If you leave it open it gets moldy because it sticks together.

I really don’t think my parents liked me very much. My older brother was special because he was first born. My younger brother eight years younger shit ice cream that smelled like roses.

No sleeping on the sofa. It’s does wear it down. Yes to the shower curtain. Rinse the tub when done. And no shoes in the house! 😁

To add to yours… we couldn’t touch the walls, had to clean our rooms daily, no shoes in the house.

My dad was an appliance repairman. The fridge door issue is a thing. Cracks the door liner and can damage hinges.

All of these are legit. Except for the shower curtain. If I heard you right. The curtain needs to be …. So it will dry

I'm Gen X so we just, um, couldn't really make our existence known. Yeah. If they realized we were there, we were doing something wrong.

I was not allowed to stand on the living room carpet while on the phone where the living room and kitchen met.

My dad would get agitated if we walked through the living room too fast because it stirred the air and he said it made the air cold. I think it was from being in the Korean War and always being cold. 🥶

Heard the exact same things! Also, opening fridge and looking too long with door open. Also, they used the word ram rod!

Years ago my sons fiancé asked me not to lay down on the couch. But.., the overnight before that they had no sheets or blankets on the spare bed…there weren’t any ANYWHERE. I slept on an old tablecloth and found a “throw” to put over me…😂😂😂It wasn’t funny at the time

The probably didn’t have a lot of money. 🥺 I do ask my kids to please be careful because replacing things is a luxury some don’t have. If I have something nice I try to keep it that way.
