There was a Robin’s Donuts in Surrey, BC in the early 2000s that was part of a strip mall but had a drive thru window anyway. You had to drive under a covered connection between two halves of the strip mall, and loop around behind other businesses to get there. The Robin’s closed and many other restaurants have occupied the same spot over the years, but the drive thru has never returned.
